In the Morning Your reporting time will be 6:30 to 7:30 am and you will start your journey towards Sankri. On the way, you will pass through beautiful towns like Mussoorie, Damta, and Naugaon. You will arrive in Sankri by evening and check into the hotel “The Conifer Inn” for an overnight stay.
The trail from Seema initially is on the left side of the valley and goes past fields. This is followed by crossing an aging bridge over river Rupin, after which we start trekking to the right side of the valley. The trail now ascends through fields and pastures with huts. The coniferous trees on the other side of the valley are beautiful. Then the trail includes a climb to the ridge locally named as Kalkattiyadhar. After a short descent from the Kalkattiyadhar, we arrive at our campsite. Overnight stay in tents.
As we move ahead from Kalkattiyadhaar camp, the trail gives an impressive view of Har Ki Dun valley. Initially, there’s a gradual climb which later gets steeper as it passes through beautiful meadows which opens into Har Ki Dun. A small stream flows by the campsite, with peaks of Har Ki Dun and Swargarohini towering above. After spending some time at Har Ki Dun, we will return to Boslo campsite.
Your trail will start from and you have to go for a descend immediately when you leave the campsite. The path ahead needs to be walked through very carefully as you will happen to see the conjunction of two roaring glacial rivers one is Har Ki Dun and the other is Kyarakoti. They both join to become Tamsa river. 3 km past the river crossing you will come across two gigantic rocks laying one above the other making a natural shelter below. You may get some survival lessons/tips from your trek leader at this location. You will get your first water source after walking 4 KMs. After completing 9 kms you will reach Untigaad. This is a lovely campsite surrounded by water streams all around and snow laden peaks. Take rest for the day.
A 7-hour trek to Taluka sets off this morning, climbing down by the familiar trail, stopping at familiar rest points. The car waits at the end of the dirt road to drive back base campward. Pay special attention to descending tactic. Though climbing down accounts for lesser exhaustion, stressing out your soles with big steps is inadvisable. Sankri will arrive at the time for tea. You will arrive in Sankri by evening and check into the hotel “The Conifer Inn” for an overnight stay. Once we reach Sankri, we will celebrate the completion of our trek with DJ/Karaoke Night party at the Multicuisine Restaurant “The Food Garage”.
On the final day, we will bid farewell to Sankri and drive back to Dehradun. You will arrive in Dehradun by evening approx. 7:30 pm To 8:30 Pm.
